The flashes of the pictures of our sector buildings are created wonderfully and I was very impressed by the creator, our Mr. Narendra Singh! Congratulations to him!
Some of the members have complained that some people are throwing chappatis, food and grains through their balconies on to the road opposite. This is not good as such articles may fall on the passers by and it may cause sometimes injuries, we dont know! It is better to come out personally and feed the dogs or pigeons or crows! I hope members would not mistake and take this in the right way! Thanks a Mio.

When you want to go out of the house, and when nobody else in the house, pls ensure you double lock the doors of your house.
Also in the inside door, fix a strong padlock and lock it. It would in any case.be not visible to the outsiders. Also nform your neighbours about where you are going and when you would be back. Request them to watch your flat, in case there is any noise arising, opposite!

The introduction of e-newspapers on a daily basis by our member
Shri Narendra Singh is a wonderful idea indeed. I tried to access the MID Day today and prompt came the pages. I was able to read all the headlines which are in big fonts. But I was unable to read any news item because the fonts are very small and even with lens I was unable to read. Is it because I have only a 14" screen that I find difficult to read, but what about the other members? Are they able to read all the news item in detail? I would like to know what is the solution to this?
Thanks a Mio.

Raman

Paropakartam Idam Shareeram!
GOD has given us lives not only for enjoying ourselves but also for doing service to others. If we live only for ourselves, we are not fully utilizing our given gifts! How can we be of assistance to others? You need not donate money to charities, if you dont have money! Money is not everything! Even a kind word told to others is service. A visit to a sick person's flat in the society, and assuring him that he/she would be well soon, is itself would be a great relief for the sick!
Mr. Narendar has created this website spending so much of his personal time for informing the members valuable information about our society and giving vital information on the rules and regulations of co-op societies, inviting members to write how they feel in living in the society, etc are all done only to be of service to the members. We must all appreciate his contribution and encourage him so that he would feel happy to contribute more vital information for the benefit of members.
Regards to everyone in the society!
Raman

"What we teach our children”. The writer, Swami Kriyananda is absolutely right in stating that we do not teach our children anything and they are left to themselves and thru the schools to learn and educate themselves. They have completely lost their spirit of inquiry and they go to Google for anything and everything and they are completely depending on these search engines and their own imaginations and thinking are totally absent and in such case how can the youngsters get new ideas and invent new discoveries. Moreover todays schools are more like prisons where the children are kept for 6 hours as prisoners and they come home. At home they are sent to various classes as it is a rat race - my child should achieve this or that - accordingly the parents enroll them in various extra-curricular activities. By this they are making the children mere robots who can perform programmed things and the parents are highly proud about the “achievements” but they are not aware what the children are losing as the parents themselves were not aware of their childhood memories. A standard reply is “It is a world of competition and the children are to be prepared for the times” as if the competition is to be blamed. Who created this situation if not you? The schools are to re-educate their staff for preparing the teachers for instructing the children about the various aspects of life and the sciences and other art subjects would automatically come to them as these are part of their own which comes on its own if they realize their potential. This was being done by the erstwhile Gurukools in India which has been completely destroyed by the foreign rulers and not revived even after independence. A musician gets his singing talents on his own and the several rehearsals and practice sessions are only to kindle his own inherent talents. Mostly they sing leaving everything to God and the performance would be superlative. If you ask them to perform in the same way they would say it is not I who did but He. This is the same with other talented people and each one of us come into this world with talent and many do not attain their excellence during the present life time and have to wait for the next or the next depending upon when the time comes! When a person achieves excellence in spirituality then he is called a realized person and others are called experts" Sundaram

With stress being an almost constant, destructive part of our lives, it has become extremely important to make relaxation an equally important one. Stress associated with our everyday lives can lead to physical and mental problems ranging from headaches and colds to heart attacks and high blood pressure.
Learning and practicing a few relaxation techniques on a daily basis can help you lead a life that is healthy and stress free. Students, professionals, homemakers and business owners; everyone can enjoy the benefits of relaxation techniques. A few relaxation techniques that are easy to learn, are risk free and can be done anywhere and everywhere, follow. The aim of these relaxation techniques is to increase the practitioner’s awareness of his or her own body and to refocus the attention to calming thoughts and ideas
Progressive Muscle Relaxation Technique: Progressive muscle relaxation is carried out by slowly tensing and relaxing one muscle group after the other. To practice, one starts by tensing the muscles of the toes and then consciously relaxing them as much one can. Tense muscles as much as you can and hold for five seconds, relax them for 30 seconds and then repeat the process. Progressively keep on tensing and relaxing muscles of different parts of the body till you reach the neck and then the head. This technique focuses on relaxation by helping users recognise the difference between tense and relaxed states.
Autogenic Relaxation Technique: This relaxation technique is called autogenic because it leads to calming through ideas and thoughts that come from within the person practicing this technique. Both bodily awareness and visual imagination are used to reduce physical and mental tension. To practice, imagine being at a peaceful place like the beach or an open garden, and concentrate on breathing slowly, thus bringing down the heart rate. You can also keep repeating a mantra like “relax”, “calm” or “chill” in your mind, or focus on relaxing each part of the body one by one. Imagine the tension leaving each part of your body as you slowly breathe out.
Visualisation: Visualisation is a relaxation technique where one visualises being in a peaceful or calming situation, which is far away from the current situation which is stressing out the practitioner. Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting amidst the sea gulls on a beach or sleeping in your bed. The more senses you use – sight, sound, smell and touch – the more you will benefit from visualisation. You can imagine smelling the flowers in a garden or listening to the sound of a brook flowing nearby. While you can practice visualisation almost anywhere, it is best done at a calm and quiet spot.
These relaxation techniques will help you tackle stress and its symptoms by lowering blood pressure, heart rate and breathing. They will also help in reducing muscle tension, frustration, anger and other negative effects of stress that take a toll on your health. Practicing these relaxation techniques can help one de-stress and avoid illnesses and tension related ailments.
Apart from these, rhythmic exercises like walking, jogging, swimming or cycling; yoga, tai chi and other sport forms are also good means of relaxing the body as well as the mind. Massage and meditation are also great ways of relaxing but they might take more time than you have when you need an instant fix of stress relief. You can reap not just instant, but lifelong benefits of these relaxation techniques and exercises by practicing them on a daily basis. Taking time out on a regular basis every day for relaxation will help keep you grounded, happy and healthy, and save you from the adverse effects of the stresses and tensions of modern life
